About Me

Welcome! Thank you for visiting with me.
I am glad you are here.

Currently I live in the beautiful city of Madison, Wisconsin. Madison is surrounded by lakes, the capitol, diversity and the UW.

Follow me as I continue to share myself with you, my educational offerings, and how to register.

I have been active in the profession of massage therapy and bodywork since 1991, specializing in body/mind inter-relationship, massage for people living with cancer and Esalen massage. I began my studies at the McKinnon Institute in Oakland, CA. In 1994 I attended Crystal Mountain School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque, NM. In 1997 I moved to Madison, WI, where I now live, teach and have my practice. Since moving to Madison, I have completed advanced training in the Hakomi method of Body-Centered experiential therapy. I am forever grateful to have met Cedar Barstow, M. Ed.,C.H.T. I have completed her teachers training in Ethics as Right use of Power and currently belong to the Right Use of Power teachers guild, a group of passionate educators committed to the often fragile and dynamic area of ethics.

My bodywork practice is balanced with teaching and facilitating workshops both locally and throughout the country. I am on staff at local massage schools where I teach relationship and business ethics. I facilitate a mentoring program for both local and long distance practitioners that focuses on the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship along with marketing and business skills for private practice. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and also the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy. I have been Nationally Certified since 1995. I serve on a sub-committee to the NCB Ethics and Standards Committee. Currently, I offer a variety of educational trainings that support the delicate individual process of ethical awareness and accountability.

In my heart I care deeply about our professions unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and personal responsibility. I believe the study of ethics reaches far above a philosophy of “avoiding legal issues” to a philosophy of service with the highest regard for humanity. I have been drawn to the study of ethics and right relationship from the very first day I entered massage therapy school knowing that the presence of the therapist and who we bring to the caring situation has the greatest impact on the therapeutic relationship. As I continue on my own journey of inner exploration and personal growth, my commitment and passion is to make a contribution and positive difference in the lives of others.

May we continue to grow, explore
and live in peace.
